I think this part of Lindon Johnsons speech was most imortant and powerfull. I think this because ghe said the men and women were brutally beaten but since they were peacefully protesting they did not fight. These people were very brave to go up against all these people that will beat them horribly, but they wont fight back. They knew they should be treated equal but the whites did not agree so they protested.
